The new look “slimmer” PS3

Sony confirmed the rumours at the Tokyo Game Show; there will be a “Slimmer” PS3 model soon to be released. The new model will be available in two capacity sizes; a gargantuan 500GB HDD version, and a 12GB flash drive version. The 500GB version is due to be released in the UK and Europe on 28^th September, while the smaller 12GB capacity version will be released on 12^th October, with a 250GB HDD being released at the same time for those who wish to upgrade their system capacity. For anyone new to this generation’s consoles, or for parents wishing to buy for their children, I would strongly recommend getting the 500GB PS3 because most PS3 games have mandatory installation, and 12GB won’t last 5 minutes, so you’d probably end up forking out for the additional HDD anyway.
