Call of Duty: Black Ops has officially become the best selling game ever in the UK selling a total of 3,722,411. This beats the previous record of 3,702,410 which was held by – you guessed it – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This could explain why whenever I sign into PSN there’s a row of blue dots all playing COD: Black Ops.

COD: Black Ops also holds the record for the fastest selling game ever, selling more than 7 million copies within 24 hours of its release in the UK and US.

Obviously this is great news for developers Treyarch and publishers Activision who will hope to break even more records when Modern Warfare 3 is released 8 November 2011.
