Madden 13 PS3 Issues

John Madden; his latest game is causing a stir amongst PS3 owners

Yesterday, my letterbox rattled with a new arrival. Madden NFL 13. Although I haven’t played the game massively in the past two days, I have encountered the same problem every time I have played the game. After every time I play the game, the console won’t quit properly or shut down properly. Next time I fire it up, there is a message saying that the PS3 was improperly shut down, asks if I would like to inform Sony and that the system storage may be corrupted. My PS3 is a 2 month old, 320GB model and has an upgraded HDD, so this shouldn’t be happening. While some people may not be bothered by a message like this, for a lot of people, the thought of potentially losing everything on their hard drive is not a nice one. For anyone who has encountered this problem, there is a simple solution:

  • When ready to quit the game, bring up the XMB.

  • Move across to PlayStation Network then go to Account management.

  • Press Triangle and sign out.

  • Either quit game or turn off your PS3.

This solution sounds stupid, but has thoroughly been tested by myself, personally, and has a 100% success rate, without the threat of a hard drive meltdown.
