PlayStation Network Down For Maintenance
Those of you wishing to take Sony up on their offer of cheaper PS Plus or anyone wanting to play online should get in there soon; Sony will be conducting maintenance on PSN on Monday 10th from 16.00 until 05.00 the following day. During this time, PS owners will be unable to access their account management or account registration, as well as being locked out of PS store. Players will also be unable to log onto their accounts via Sony’s PlayStation website.

PSN Undergoing Maintenance Today
If you try and log into the PlayStation Network today and get an error message don’t be alarmed – the PSN hasn’t been hacked again, it’s just undergoing maintenance.
The PlayStation Network is expected to be down around 4:00PM to 3:00AM in the UK.
“During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process. While some users may experience difficulty signing into PSN and the PlayStation Store, the majority of users will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).” Sony posted on their blog.
So while you should still be able to sign into the PlayStation Network you don’t have to sound the alarm if you can’t. In the words of Corporal Jones “Don’t panic!”
Breath of Fire IV Gets PSN Release
Dust off your robe and wizard hat because its just been announced that the classic PS1 RPG Breath of Fire IV will be getting re-released on the PSN.
Right now only a US release has been mentioned although it would seem fair to assume a European release would not be at all far behind.
“I’m told BOF4 (for the US anyway) will launch August 16th on PSN… to celebrate, there will also be BOF PSN avatars for sale that day too.” Said Christian Svensson, Seniot Vice-President of Capcom on the Capcom Unity Forums.
Breath of Fire IV was originally released on the PS1 back in 2000. It received positive reviews including 8.2 from IGN and 7.5 from Gamespot.
